It's the most magical time of the year...

Is it just me or has Christmas decorating begun excessively early this year?

Growing up as a child, my family always put up our tree the first week or so of December. Two weeks ago coming home from work, I seen a house brightly lit with blue Christmas lights. What ever happened to Thanksgiving? I did decide, once I became a mom, to decorate and put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. I feel putting up a tree the first or second week of December doesn't give you or others enough time to fully enjoy the serene feeling of Christmas.

Another tradition of ours, is is visiting Bright Nights in Springfield, Mass. It's usually a nominal fee of $15 per car load. It takes about 30-45 minutes to go through Forrest Park. There is a Santa's workshop for you to stop by and get your picture taken with Santa and sip some hot cocoa. I've been going there since my oldest son, who is now 7, was an infant.

I plan on taking the kids to NYC to visit Rockefeller Center to view the lights and maybe do a little shopping or even ice skate. I cannot wait!

What are some of your traditions?

So I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging. I've been out of the blogging world for quite some time now. I faithfully used livejournal since the age of 15 up until about 2 years ago (Thanks to facebook, myspace and twitter). So here I am trying blogging, again.

My blogs will mostly consist of my two boys and my life in general. I've decided to not get too personal with this blog, as I have in the past with livejournal.

Feel free to follow me and of course, I will do the same. Also, please feel free to suggest bloggers for me to follow. :)
